Alio Die & Martina Galvagni – Eleusian Lullaby

“Eleusian Lullaby” is a harmonious, serene collection of acoustical improvisations with voice, psaltery, zither, cithara, bells, metals and field recordings by Alio Die, aka Stefano Musso.

Music wise, it follows in the footsteps of his previous recordings “Mei-Jyu” (with Jack and Jive) and “Apsaras” (with Amelia Cuni).
The original, organic recordings were made in locations in the woods and in ancient medieval places, which also features the neo-classical voice of Italian singer Martina Galvagni.

The slowly meandering, earthy sounding soundscapes on the three extended tracks have a trance-like impact.
Especially if one focuses on the minimal, slow morphing, looped textures and drones in which something mysterious, breathing and ethereal is constantly underneath.

Fans of drone music with an strong organic and vibrating element should make sure to check out this recording.
