Jamie Craig is a Detroit-based synthesist and keyboardist who previously was a rock ‘n roll bassist for many years.

“Illumination”, his second release, contains instrumental music with a high easy-going and jazz-fusion feel.
His jazz and progrock pieces all feature solid bass-lines and not that great drums, over which a melodic assortment of piano, electric violin (in Jean-Luc Ponty-style), flutes and electric/acoustic guitars are layered.

Nonetheless, the outcome is disappointing, and after a few tracks things really started to annoy me. There’s much better contemporary electronic music around than this one-dimensional, cheesy product.
