Michael Diamond – Atlantis Rising

I found this California-based musician on the independent music site CD Baby. Well, both cover and music match as this is what one could call positively new age oriented music.

No room here for difficult roundabouts, as we enter a world of ethereal floating soundscapes, some guitar and tabla rhythms, which all inhabit that “feel-good” feeling.
New-Age musician Steven Halpern joins Mr Diamond on three tracks, of which the drifting title-track is the most noteworthy.

Overlooking the whole album I must say things don’t run as soft as on albums by Iasos or Aeoliah, which is partly due to the occasional use of some light, groovy rhythms.
On the other hand, I don’t think many EM fans will turn to tuis kind of music. Technically, the sound production is well done.
