With the third chapter in the “Retrochet”-series, the duo Getty and Neil continues their journey into the future of the past with another selection of fine crafted retro electronics.

At first its seems they take on the Redshift-road, but soon it appears they pull their own outcome into a more melodic and less adventurous direction, more in vein of Free System Project (“Sky Racer”).
During the six track/58-minute voyage, Graham’s infectious sequencing and Neil’s immersive mellotron scapes and flutes are a delight for the ears, again staying close to the classic, still so much appreciated TD-sound of the mid ’70’s.

In addition, Neil occasionally plays some more poignant lines as well, e.g. on the second track “Monolith”, while the music nicely settles down in the smooth dynamics and tranquil mood of “Flow”. The positive vibe embedded in the lush “Table Mountain” makes this piece a perfect ending of the vintage journey.
