Down on Earth

"Down on Earth" is the solo debut-album by Bernhard Wöstheinrich, also known as one half of Centrozoon.

It contains 37 minutes of meandering ambient music, composed between 1996 and 1998, which breaths an overall pastoral impact. But don’t think this flowing music is that cheesy, as there are quite some rough and shaper edges implemented in the music.

As such, I wouldn’t call the used sounds warm, as there always seems a slight feel of restlessness nearby as the textures mingle, whirl, and go by.
The closing title track features his Centrozoon-partner Markus Reuter on warr guitar, which complements the sedate soundscapes and nature sounds.

The album was re-released in fall 2007, and is available as digital download from a digital download on iTunes or MP3.de
