CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS
Interloper
CD, Ultimae Records, 2010
Premiered live in concert at Stockholm's Cosmonova Planetarium in November 2009, "Interloper" is the third full-length acid ambient album by the Swedish duo Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Segerstad.

Although the duo initially had another album ready around May 2009, the two musicians decided not to release it and invest all their energy and creativity in the process of expanding and deepening the sonic world of CBL wherever possible without ignoring its distinct signature.
A remarkable aspect here also is the track position of the album, which starts at number "24", continuing where their previous last album "World Of Sleepers" left us.

Well, the hard work certainly has paid off in a positive way. "Interloper" offers inventive, slow down-tempo electronics and massive, pulsating bass lines, but complemented with more acoustic instruments (guitar and bass), velvet voices and even a bit of cello.

Together they make up an accessible and smoothly progressing sonic landscape that will trigger the listeners imagination with a nice range of easy-going flowing and gently whirling atmospheres, ethereal textures and groovy, sometimes even melancholic undercurrents. Quite mind-blowing stuff, I reckon.

"Interloper" is a mellow sound journey, a celestial world of tranquillity and wonder, at times to almost soothing effect.
Hats off to these guys!
