From the start it’s clear the music found on Steve Moore’s album "Light Echoes" doesn’t hide being inspired by classic German Kosmische Schule by the most notable Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and alike.
The six tracks are made up of warm, gentle soaring analogue synth washes as well as some pleasant pulsating currents found, all creating a darker-flavoured aural atmosphere for the great expanse. The space cruiser’s slow evolving, more minimalist-oriented and occasionally psychedelic-ish character may demand some time on certain passages but in the end the electronic meditation will prove quite rewarding and fulfilling. On the final track "Ancient Shorelines II", Mr Moore goes all the way with combos of peppy sequencer lines in Michael Hoenig "Departure from the Northern Wasteland"-style for 28 minutes.
