RASAL.ASAD
Asuna
CD, Thisco, 2003

"Asuna" is the second album of the Portuguese electronic project Rasal.Asad, aka Fernando Cerqueira, which contains eight quite active, repetitive and slow evolving soundscapes.
In a way, you might call it almost dream-like, but the outcome is rather abstract, also due to the use of some philosophical and literal spoke words and vocal samples throughout the album. "Asuna" is also far less cosmic compared to the former album "Dreamscape".
To me, "Asunä" is a puzzling ambient recording which only core fans of linear ambient might like.
