Here’s a new series launched by Dennis Huddleston, aka 36, focusing on loop-based tracks made especially for C45 cassette tapes containing two tunes 22:30 minutes in length.
This debut plunges into quiet, morphing ambient soundscapes existing in their own sonic cocoon of time and space, an intimate world in slow motion where floating drones shift gently but surely in shape and pastel color schemes. There a section with distorted drone sound surfacing on the first track while the second one comes forward more symphonic due to the use of balanced, broadening textures only.
I’d say this is another fine 36 album to disappear in, experience things fading away in a kind of twilight zone or simply escape from the fast lane of modern life.
