Transceive – The Circe Complex

“The Circe Complex” is a 3-track/20 minute EP containing the first new tracks by Steve Nelson, aka Transceive, in five years and is meant as an appetizer for Transceive’s full length cd due for 2012.

I’m sure those who know the dynamic, rhythmic music of Transceive’s previous releases will love to dive in grand and evocative symphonic sounds displayed on this newbie.
The opening title track (that will be part of the forthcoming full length album) already sets a great and up-tempo mood, very nicely followed by the expansive, dramatic soundscape textures of “File Under Anomaly”. “Fluke” is the last piece, closing things with wide-screen, transparent and sequenced sound design, hitting his well-known power-Em button in the second half.

All in all, “The Circe Complex” makes a very nice a taster for what’s to come.
