On “Fusion”, German synthesist Axel Stupplich (who many will also know as member of Pyramid Peak) continues his quest of composing energetic and exciting Berlin School inspired music.
Nonetheless, the music featured on this new chapter has a stronger emphasis on sequencers, while Axel keeps a close eye on creating vibrant atmospheres next to playing catchy solos and tantalizing melodic lines.
It’s a swirling and pleasant ride through cosmic spheres, which finds its peak on the final track “Under a Starry Sky” which just clocks less than 12 minutes. Here, Mr Stupplich beautifully merges warm synth pads, rhythms and evocative sequencer patterns to a cohesive whole.
All in all, the general melodic and accessible electronics of “Fusion” will appeal to a large EM-audience for sure.
