H.U.V.A. Network, aka Magnus Birgersson (also known as Solar Fields) and Vincent Villuis (aka Aes Dana) have come up with another collaborative project, in which their ambient sound architecture keenly combines elements of groovy down tempo and textural electronic music.
The ten instrumental tracks of “Ephemeris”, described by the label as oneiric trip-hop and morning trance with immersive tunes, feature deep groove sequences, tickling sounds, crunchy beats and massive rhythms, mingled together with expansive walls of soundtextures, together creating deep and moving impressions with an intrinsic driving energy.
I imagine the repetitive structures embedded in this psy-trance mood music with slightly melancholic undercurrents won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but I believe its straightforward, psychedelic and down-tempo character will make up for that.
