CD, Viktoriapark Records, 2011

All those who were present at the unique live Loom concert on E-Live 2011 will remember the great and enthusiastic musicianship displayed by Johannes Schmoelling during this performance.

That day he also presented his brandnew album “Time and Time”, that again features some state-of-the art electronic music as only Johannes is able to compose. Style-wise, the emotional and expertly executed music stays close to TD’s ’80’s sound, with an emphasis on the “Logos”-period.

Just listen to the magnificent opening piece “Splendid Isolation” and the listener is simply blown away by the sheer beauty of sequencing, pads and gentle melodic structures.
Or tap into the superb “Genetic Diversity” and the stunning title track, a reflection on TD’s classic “Logos”, both found toward the end of the album. Its total passion and joy that rules this smooth and overall relaxed music with some great, evocative and soft soaring solos putting the icing on the cake.

For me, “Time and Time” even tops the already excellent “Instant City” and “A Thousand Times”.
It’s an absolute winner in all aspects.
