Meg Bowles – Blue Cosmos
CD, Kumatone Records, 1996

Classically trained flutist and composer Meg Bowles hails from Connecticut, USA, and was one of the few female musicians in the electronic music scene in the ‘90s.

Her third album “Blue Cosmos”, regarded a classic album of deep space music by many, is available until this very day. Well, I can only confirm this opinion, as I still cherish the album in my collection since the year it was released.

The sonic outcome is a smooth and quiet intergalactic ride with nice melodic lines and gentle textural pads, brought to the listener in nine tracks. It melts the great cosmic spheres of Jonn Serrie with those of Steve Roach and Ron Boots while also adding something of an own signature to it.

The vastness of the universe is within reach when putting on this excellent album of ambient space music.
Have a pleasant atmospheric journey!
