What I got here is the second, now full-length, release by Rishi Bhatia (aka Spacecraft) and UK synthesist Nik Davies (aka Applefish). The 41-minute recording focuses on lush soundscape ambient, sonically continuing where their previous EP left us. A kindred sense of calm and spaciousness is released as the 10-track album unfolds in a gradual, overall drifting manner, so no surprises there. I for one, though, would love to hear a bit longer tracks, or alternatively, a continuous outcome of the presented tracks. The Deep Space edit of the track “Drift Beyond” is a good start, clocking over seven minutes. |
