The free-floating ambient music captured on this 5-track EP creates a beautiful place of harmony and calm where one could pause and relax for a while. It’s the first fruit from the collaboration between Indian composer Rishi Bhatia (aka Spacecraft) and UK synthesist Nik Davies (aka Applefish). The well-produced result embraces yet immerses listeners into a warm bath of drifting textures and soundscapes, spreading rays of pastel colours along the way. Together, they make a gentle balm for the mind. I, for one, would have loved to see a full-length recording of this with further extended tracks. |
