Those fond of Brian Eno’s ambient longform work will eagerly want to hear “Luminal”, a release the ambient master created with conceptual artist Beatie Wolfe that centres around the concept of “art and feelings”. The 64-minute release features one track, “Big Empty Country”, an eight-part ambient movement of slow, subtle shifting and evolving textural pads and gentle string plucks that immerses and surrounds the listener in a comfortable, non-intrusive aural balm. It’s almost a meditative expanse when taken in with headphones, as such, experiencing its introspective space of meticulously twisting aural contours and soundscapes drifts onward. |
