Broekhuis, Keller & Schönwälder – Red

Broekhuis, Keller & Schönwälder - Red

Release data:

Broekhuis, Keller & Schönwälder – Red
CD, Manikin Records, 2012

The music that makes up the 67-minute BKS-release “Red” is no other than classic Berliner School music, but executed in a rather minimal structure and (in my opinion distinct) slow transforming manner.
This and the fact the cd only contains three lengthy tracks makes it difficult though to distinguish enough variation to keep it interesting and appealing all the way (at least for my taste).

It also made me wonder oncemore that three musicians were involved to play this music, while there are lots of examples of E-musicians around doing this all on their own, and some even better.
But I imagine those who are into the music world of BKS will find “Red” satisfying enough nonetheless.
