Michael Allison’s “Autumn Light” is a release which, like its predecessors, offers a collection of overtly soothing, introspective electronic miniatures. It’s attentively designed floating music with little dynamics in which stillness, compassion, and serenity lie at the core and clearly shine through. The title track seems to offer a tad more variation and has a nice longing character. I’d say the full outcome, soft and most gentle sonic breezes to ease the mind and soul, can easily join the ranks of Ashera, Budd/Eno, Liquid Mind, etc. “Autumn Light” was re-released in 2012 as “Selfless”. |
