Due to its simple, calming beauty, Darshan’s early music is easily one of my favorites to return to frequently. The compelling “Providence”, originally released through Zero Music/AtmoWorks back in the day, sparkles that beauty as well through warm, contemplative waves of sound. It taps into a pool of sweet nostalgia on each of the seven tracks while spreading a vapour of timelessness now and then along the way. Like Mr Allison’s previous work, this thoughtful music leads the listener to a peaceful place, away from the buzz of the world. “Providence” is still available as a download from the artist’s Bandcamp site, but now comes with a different cover. |
