A display of emotions has always been one of the pillars of Mike Carss’s music, a stronghold for aural journeys for the mind’s eye. March 2026 saw the release of the 55-minute/7-track “Paradox of Silken Stars”, an album pairing varied emotive currents beautifully with broadening, deep and attentively layered ambient soundscapes to cinematic effect. As such, the freeform outcome delivers slow unwinding sets of expansive textures and sound effects tapping into the wondrous realm and the far end of the galactic outdoors.
