Like Mark’s other releases, this one is immediately recognizable as a Mark Dwane recording, as the smooth melodic, cinematic pads and nice groovy lines are all over the place. The 44-minute/9-track “The Atlantis Factor” opens up another chapter of symphonic and sci-fi inspired electronica using electric guitar synthesis, taking the listener on a journey of expansive spacescapes about fascinating themes surrounding ancient mysteries, mythologies, and unexplained phenomena. As usual, Mr. Dwane’s accessible music has both its epic, dramatic, and soothing moments as it takes us through an imaginary landscape of wonderous, gentle, sparkling sonic delights. The two-part title track is strong as well as “Isle of Poseidon”. A reissue of the album came out in 1995 with a different cover. |
