What I have here is a one-hour ambient-space recording by accomplished synthesist Martin Stürtzer containing three lengthy compositions. All are highly atmospheric, drifting, ethereal, and calm excursions into outer space assembled of improvised soundscapes and morphing ambient pads. One should best cherish this slow, enveloping and quite transcendental outcome with a good pair of headphones or as a background canvas to get the best out of its intrinsic beauty and velvet, rather hypnotizing sonic flavour. As the composer remarks, the arrival at the Tau Ceti system is reflected by the only synthesizer sequence surfacing halfway through the last piece of the album. Recommended to fans of the sound of the cinematic, weightless, cosmic environs like myself. |
