After four volumes in the D.MO series, I would have thought Mr. Schröder’s archive would be empty by now. But no, here’s “Volume 5” featuring another set of retro electronic tracks from the ’80s. Now I could spend some obsolete words on the outcome, but actually, there are no surprises and background info/linear notes on the nine unreleased tracks from the ‘80s and ‘90s are scarce. To my ears, the 58-minute outcome is simply more of the same accessible, listenable stuff Robert did and released previously. So fans of his vintage electronics know what to expect and will like to purchase it for sure…. |
