With this album (part of the exhibition “Digital Art”), the Software formulae moves straight into New Age music territory while integrating some further money-making tricks Mr. Weisser & co. were good at back in those days: dabbling in catchy concepts and so on. This one says it offers musical translations of perfumes and sounds soft and very “female”. A whole bunch of musicians were involved in getting the outcome done, with Mr. Schulze as a key figure alongside Georg Stettner. The overall music and use of percussion resemble the synthesized and sampled sound of Klaus from back then, but redesigned in a poppy, repackaged manner, including a good dose of input from the Fairlight CMI. Cheesy, flat, and uninspired sounds are all over the place, making up an audio snack that should- in my opinion- be avoided at all times. What a disaster. |
