EM aficionados will know Space Art (aka Dominique Perrier/synths and Roger Rizzitelli/drums, percussion) is part of the league of pioneers of French electronic music. The two made the classic albums “Trip in the Center Head” and “Space Art” (containing the big single hit “Onyx”) in the late ‘70s and the lesser-known “Play Back” in 1980. Aside from that, Mr. Perrier was able to work closely with Jean-Michel Jarre on e.g.his album “Rendez-Vous” as well as “Oxygene 7-13”.

On “Entrevues”, Space Art’s Dominique Perrier and Roger Rizzitelli’s son Tommy continue the analogue synth-pop sound of the early days through eight tunes. I’m not much a fan of the genre myself, but I imagine fans of the sound of Space Art in its early stages will dig this for sure. On the cd version, I’m quite keen on the last two tracks, Perrier’s “Drone” and Remy Stroomer’s dynamic Remyx of “Psychadeliose”. The limited vinyl edition of “Entrevues” doesn’t contain these latter two but are replaced by the track “Space News” and a remix of “Nous Savons Tout”.
