Due to time constraints, I had to skip quite a few previous releases by India-based composer Rishi Bhatia, aka Spacecraft. The 45-minute “JVPD Night Skies” is a(nother) release expressing his love for ambient-space music. It offers ten 4-minute soundscape tracks depicting the enchanting, gracious nature when looking up to the vast galactic spheres. Here, smooth gliding ethereal textures lead the way, occasionally creating soft glowing spaces where the senses elevate (“Obscured by Light”, “Big Dipper”, “Pillars of Distant Dreams”, “Gates of Aldebaran”). I for one, prefer the continuous mix of the same album (both are available on a name-your-price basis) as it enables the listener to reside uninterrupted in its charming, enchanting realm.
