Stephen Parsick – Gronland – music for glaciers
CD-R, Private Release, 2006

While Stephen Parsick was finishing up his album “Teknonik” in January/February 2006, he decided to use the remaining tracks for a second “geological album”: “Gronland”.

This concept album contains 65 minutes of improvised, highly cinematic soundscape music, composed in a period Stephen was checking out some new gear he had bought.

The eight tracks on the album create a great floating, icy and remote atmosphere, characterized by meandering, airy textures of drifting sound with only small changes in timbre and occasional thundering fx’s .
Like its sibling album “Tektonik”, “Gronland” was released in a small batch of only 25 numbered copies.

All in all, this is another great ambient album suitable for deep and extended listening together with “Tektonik”.
